Some of its responsibilities: 

• To improve the training offer in technologies related to the use of  Renewable Energies, by collaborating with other vocational training agents at regional, national and international level.    
• To research in training needs of the companies in the sector and to detect the required professional profiles.
• To organize and develop training actions in this area.
• To meet companies’ needs in adapting their professionals to the sector requirements. 
• To detect innovations within the area of Renewable Energies.
• To research on subjects related to official, job and further training on Renewable Energies. 
• To carry out spreading and illustrative activities concerning Renewable Energies and to exchange experiences with other institutions.

Currently, the Foundation directs its activities to:

• Organization, promotion and sale of companies and professionals orientated courses, by giving priority to the market most required activities, for which the Centre is already equipped and staffed. To spread CENIFEr’s capabilities at regional, national and international level.
• To prepare projects for the development of training programmes using new technologies.
• To spread Renewable Energies.
