CENIFER covers all training scope: 1. vocational training for young people to join the work market; 2. job training: for the unemployed willing to be retrained to work in a growing sector; 3. companies and professionals: for people who, already working in renewables, need to be updated; 4. teachers’ technical improvement: for permanent retraining of teaching staff; and 5. collaboration in training programmes for other countries’ teachers.
 
Technical Competence 
Highly qualified teaching staff and experts

We have a highly qualified training staff. Fifteen of the teachers have a technical profile; most of them hold an Industrial Engineering BSc degree, some ten plus specialists, all of them with long careers in companies of the sector. This training staff is completed by hired experts to meet particular tailored training demands. Our trainers are also qualified for inputing and interpreting data as well as managing our resources, which facilitates continuous interaction between training and research

Experimentation   
Experimentation: a key field of development
 
Experimentation is one of CENIFER’s development fields, which promotes and carries out initiatives to benefit training in renewables. In the same line, we should emphasize the practical value resulting from the use and control of our bioclimatic building, —fitted with all existing renewables in building—; the importance of European projects in progress, that enable to optimize and facilitate the use of new technologies related to training in the sector as well as the importance of all the work lines leading to meet the companies’ needs.

Training and Employment Research
A technical training that meets the work market needs

Apart from all the previously explained actions, CENIFER works on detecting the needs for technical training in the sector by analysing the requalifying needs.  With this aim, as a National Centre, we will carry out sectorial studies and work schemes to keep the offer in Vocational Training updated. We are also doing a provisional research on jobs within the market of renewables, by finding out which the required profiles are. Besides, we design training packs as a supporting tool to the opening of new plants, within the process of suppliers’ qualification. And, in order to complement all these actions, we set up an Employment Exchange Service with selective criteria for aptitude and competence.
